Dharma as Life, Life as Dharma

The cushion is where we practice. Life is where we learn.

"We do not sit on the cushion to escape the world. We sit so that we may meet it more fully."

This space explores how the Dharma meets us in the ordinary — in difficulty, in joy, in the ten thousand things that make up a day. It is for those who carry the practice beyond the meditation hall and into the world.

Reflections on impermanence in daily life. On compassion in difficult relationships. On finding stillness in the midst of noise. On what it means to live — not just to practice.

Themes We Explore

Where the teachings touch everyday life.

Impermanence

Everything changes. How do we hold lightly what we love, and release gracefully what must go?

Difficult Relationships

The people who challenge us most are often our greatest teachers. Compassion begins where comfort ends.

Work & Livelihood

Right livelihood is not just about what we do — it is about how we show up, moment to moment.

Grief & Loss

The Dharma does not ask us to bypass grief. It asks us to be present with it, fully and without flinching.

Joy & Gratitude

Mudita — sympathetic joy — is a practice. We can train ourselves to delight in the good, in ourselves and others.

The Ordinary Moment

Washing dishes. Walking to the car. Waiting in line. Every moment is an invitation to wake up.

More to come

Teachings, reflections, and conversations are being gathered.
